Iron Pyrite

Pyrite is a source of iron and sulfur and is used for the production of sulfuric acid. Pyrite is used to create iron sulfate that is used to make nutritional supplements, lawn treatment, ink, water treatment, and many other chemical processes including as a catalyst.

The main uses today include: Production of sulphur dioxide for the paper industry. Production of sulphuric acid for the chemistry industry and the fertilized industry. Pyrite is most often mined for the gold, copper or other elements associated with it.
